CALL FOR ORTHOPAEDIC COMPANIES TO SUBMIT APPLICATIONS TO CONCLUDE CONTRACTS

 

Orthopaedic companies which intend to conclude contracts with the National Health Insurance Fund under the Ministry of Health (NHIF) for provision of orthopaedic devices, hearing devices and eye prosthesis to insured persons in 2018 are invited to submit applications by 15 September 2017.

Contracts with orthopaedic companies are concluded in accordance with provisions of Annex 2 "List of Documents Submitted with the Application" of the Description of Procedure for Payment for State Aid for Acquisition of Orthopaedic Devices, approved by Order No. V-234 of 31 March 2006 of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania "On approval of Procedure for Payment for State Aid for Acquisition of Orthopaedic Devices". Please note that a new version of this Description (Order No. V-456 of 21 April 2017 of the Minister of Health) will take effect on 1 August 2017, which means that the provisions of Annex 2 of this Description will be amended. The companies which intend to conclude contracts for provision of orthopaedic devices, hearing devices and eye prosthesis to persons insured by compulsory health insurance in 2018 must submit applications to conclude contracts by 15 September. The applications are accepted, registered and checked at the NHIF, Europos a. 1, Vilnius. Draft contracts will be negotiated and signed by 23 December 2017. Only the orthopaedic companies, which meet the requirements for such companies, are eligible to sign the contracts.

After the new version of the Description of Procedure for Payment for State Aid for Acquisition of Orthopaedic Devices takes effect (from 1 August 2017), it will be possible to conclude contracts with the NHIF for the current year by submitting an application to conclude a contract to the NHIF at any time during the current year.

Please note that all necessary documents or their copies listed in Annex 2 of the Description of Procedure for Payment for State Aid for Acquisition of Orthopaedic Devices must be submitted along with the application.
